CITY & VICINITY WILUAMSBURGH’S EXEMPT FIREMEN. The Exempt Firemen’s Association of Brooklyn, E. D., held a grand tournament last Tuesday and Wednesday at Myrtle Avenue Park, preceded by a parade. Of all the companies in line, Steinway Hose Company No. 7 of Long Island City looked the best, though Watchemoket Engine Company of East Providence, R. I., and its veteran association, and the Weber Hose Company of Kingston were also loudly applauded by the spectators, as was Tiger Hose Company of Astoria. The contests were extremely spirited and were witnessed by large crowds of visitors from near and far. The prizes were carried off by the Watchemoket Engine Company of East Providence, Steamer Company No. 13 of Williamsburgh, Weber Hose Company of Kingston and Tiger Hose Company of Astoria.
