AT the recent theatre fire at Philadelphia, the spectators were horrified at seeing the firemen carelessly toss apparently dead or senseless human bodies from the windows into the streets. Their excitement could not be allayed until it was explained that the corpses were of wax and formed part of the collection from the Egyptian Musee. IF anybody should hear anybody else ask “ who is to be the next sheriff of Monmouth county, N. J.,” they can confidently reply that the coming man is T. L. Worthley, ex-chief of the Long Branch Fire Department, ex-President of the National Association of Fire Engineers, and one of the prominent business men of Long Branch.
