GAS AND ELECTRIC LIGHTING. —Gas has been struck at Jonesboro, Ind. —Tiffin, O., is now supplied with an abundance of natural gas. —The Houston (Tex.) Gas Light Company have an electric light plant in contemplation. —The Surprise Oil and Gas Company of Cincinnati is boring for gas and oil at Boston, Ky. —The Dallas (Tex.) City Gas Light Company will improve its plant; $30,000 will be expended. —The Electric Light Company’s building at Muskegon, Mich., was destroyed by fire on April 10. —A company will be organized at Lexington, Ky., by the Messrs. Speyer, to bore for gas and oil. —The North Kentucky Natural Gas Company has been given permission to lay pipes at Covington, Ky. —New water gas apparatus is being put in at the gas works.
