WATER SUPPLY. —Contractors and municipal officers will find it to their advantage to read the contracting intelligence in FIRE AND WATER every week. More items of interest to city and town authorities will be found in its columns than in any similar class paper publisned in the country. The subscription is only $3 per year, $1 for four months. —Washington, Ga., will have water-works. —Gainesville, Ga., will put in water-works. —Carlinville, 111., has voted to put in water-works. —An artesian well is being sunk at Bismarck, Dak. —The Palatka (Fla.) water-works are nearing completion. —Wooster, O., will make some additions to its water-works. —The Eugene City (Ore.) water-works have been completed. —The water-works at Lawrence, Kan., have been completed. —Work on the water-works at Seneca Falls, N. Y., has begun. —Additional water mains are to be laid at Swampscott, Mass. —Tekcmah, Neb., will invest $50,000 in a water supply system.…
