WATER SUPPLY —Contractors and municipal officers will find it to their advantage to read the contracting intelligence in FIRE AND WATER every week. More items of interest to city and town authorities will be found in its columns than in any similar class paper puplished in the country. The sub cription is only $3 per year, $1 for four months. —Highland, Ill., will build water-works. —Beaver Dam, Wis., will have water works. —Water-woiks will be built at Osceola, Mo. —Water-works will be built at Lakeview, Ala. —The water-works at Fort Scott, Kan., will be enlarged. —Wakefield, Neb., is considering a system of water-works. —The city of Florence, Wis., will buy the local water works. —A reservoir for fire purposes will be built at Appleton, Wis. —The Stamford (Conn.)
