WATER SUPPLY —The eighth annual convention of the New England Waterworks Association will take place at Fall River on June 12, 13 and 14. The headquarters of the association will be at the Mellen House. Those intending to attend should promptly notify Secretary R. C. P. Coggeshall, New Bedford, Mass. —A Milwaukee man has designed an apparatus by which he claims that water may be successfully burned in a cooking stove or ordinary heater. —A sale of forty-three bonds of the city of Schenectady, N. , Y., is advertised to take place May 31 next. The bonds are of the denomination of $1000 each, bear three per cent interest, and are issued by virtue of a recent resolution passed by the common council to provide the city with an increased water supply. —Among other appropriations made by the last Congress, is one of $24,000 to construct water-works at Fort Russell,…
