WATER SUPPLY —The water-works system just completed at Newark, Del., from the plans of Isaac S. Cassin, consulting engineer, of Philadelphia, has proved very satisfactory. —The sixteenth annual report of the water commissioners of New Brunswick, N. J., has been received. —The city of Marietta, Ch, sold its $90,000 four and a half per cent water-works bonds on the 15th inst. The bids for the construction of the works will be opened on the 30th of this month. Anyone desiring to put in a bid and not having the specifications can obtain them by writing to the city clerk. —The October number of The Journal of the Association of Engineering Societies has been received. —A correspondent at Denver, Col., writes: “The Mountain Water Company has broken ground for its new pumping station in West Denver and trenching has begun.
