TAYLOR, TEX.—Has a population of 3000. The following named are its city officials: Mayor, Daniel Moody; city clerk, John Lloyd; treasurer, J. E. Tucker; chairman of finance committee, J. A. Smoris; city civil engineer, Wm. Elliott; superintendent of water-works, Wm. Riley; chief of fire department, C. H. Welch; president of waterworks, D. Murphy. Most of the principal streets are macadamized. The system of water-works is Holly, and is owned by the Taylor Company. T here are sixteen hydrants in use. The eity has no sewerage system.
