The Ramapo Project. At a meeting of the Water and Drainage Committee of the Common Council of Brooklyn, on Friday of last week, the proposition of the Ramapo Water Supply Company was discussed at length. This company proposes to furnish the city with water brought from the Ramapo mountains and forced to Brooklyn through steel pipes and conduits. William J. McAlpine, who is vice-president and engineer of the company, made a long statement, in which he outlined the method of supply. Besides the members of the committee and the engineer, there were present George A. Evans, president of the company ; D. P. Darling, William B. Hill, W. S. Andrews, C. B. Wyckoff and Paul C.
