WATER SUPPLY —FIRE AND WATER is pleased to learn that Isaac S. Cassin, civil engineer of Philadelphia, who has been indisposed for some weeks, is so far recovered as to be able to fulfil his numerous professional engagements. —At a public meeting of the citizens of Gouverneur, N. Y., the report of the citizens committee was unanimously adopted recommending the construction of water-works and sewers at an expenditure of $90,000. A special taxpayers election will soon be called for to decide the question of water-works. —A company has been formed at Cincinnati, with a capital of $500,000, to manufacture cast-iron pipe.
