Subjects for Pennsylvania Firemen to Think About. The committee on topics of the Pennsylvania State Firemen’s Association (C. Fettinger of Altoona, S. C. Seckelman of Harrisburg, and A. T. Black of Harrisburg) have issued the following list of topics which the fire companies are requested to talk over at their meetings so that their representatives may attend the State convention prepared to give an opinion upon the subjects: First.—Why should not the legislature of Pennsylvania enact a law compelling all towns and boroughs to provide suitable apparatus for fire protection wherever there is a population of 1500 or more? Second.—Should not all city, borough and town councils pass an ordinance giving the right of way to fire companies and apparatus while proceeding to or answering an alarm of file? Third.—Why not organize a union or board of directors in all fire departments (where a volunteer department exists)? Fourth.—Does the appointing…
