PUBLIC WORKS —We are in receipt of a copy of the annual reports of the city departments of West Bay City, Mich., for the year ending March 31. —Richmond, Ky., has decided by popular vote not to issue the bonds previously mentioned for the purpose of erecting a schoolhouse. —San Antonio, Tex., is making a vigorous stir to put in a system of sewerage. —Dr. E. A. Dean has been appointed chairman of the sewerage commission at Brockton, Mass. On the 10th inst. the city council voted, three to fifteen, against appropriating 1000 for the services of an engineer to examine and report on a system of sewage disposal. —The estimated cost of the portion of the sewerage system of Ogden, Utah, to be built this year is from $92,000 to $97,000. —At Kansas City, Mo., the contract for constructing the first half mile section of the O.
