GAS & ELECTRC LIGHTING. —The Edison incandescent lamp patents for Australasia, India, the Cape of Good Hope and Natal have, says Engineering, been acquired by the Brush Electrical Engineering Company, Limited, who assert that it is an infringement of their rights to import, sell, manufacture or use any incandescent lamps in those colonies, except under license from them. —The Pittsfield (Mass.) Electric Company has been incorporated with a capital of $100,000 in $100 shares, and with president, Alexander Kennedy; treasurer, William A. Whittlesey and William Stanley, Jr., James W. llall, William R. Plunkett, William L. Adam and Charles E. Merrill as directors. —The common council of El lens burgh, Ore., has bought the electric light plant for *34,000 cash, and hereafter it will be operated by the city. — Arrangements are being made to pipe natural gas from the Indiana fields just north of Indianapolis to Chicago by the Widener-Elkins…
