WATER SUPPLY —Willimansett, Mass., will not have the coveted water supply just at present, a halt having been called in the negotiations of the capitalists who had the matter in view. —North Scituate (Mass.) people are considering the introduction of a system of water supply. —Ashburnham, Mass., is being piped for a water supply. —The Alabama Pipe Company, recently reported, has commenced the erection of its pipe-works at Bessemer, Ala. —A company headed by M. M. Towle has been formed at Chicago to buy the existing water-works of the town of Hammond, Ind., and build a new system to supply Hammond and, possibly, also East Chicago, Hegewisch and Burnham.
