Well-Drilling Notes. —An oil well will be sunk at Goose Creek, Va., by T. N. Bose. —A stock company is reported as organized at Mineral Wells, Tex., to sink artesian and gas wells. — W. L. Beckham has made the city of Greenville, Tex,, a proposition for the sinking of an artesian well. —Oil wells will be sunk at Brownwood, Tex., by B. Goelet and C. M. Gearing. —A Lincoln (III.) item says : “ Councilman Royce is showing some very strong indications that the experimental well now being sunk about a half mile southwest of the penitentiary will be a great success. At a depth of twenty-three feet a vein of water bearing gravel was’ struck which extended down to a depth of seventy feet. Although the well is situated on the banks of Salt creek it furnishes good fresh water.” —The town of Moffat in the San Luis…
