The Agua-Frio Irrigation Scheme. It is reported from Phoenix, Ariz,, that the Agua-Frio Water and Land Company, with a capital stock of $3,000,000, organized in 1888 by Wm. A. Hancock, L. H. Orme, J. P. Orme, J. D. Monihan and N. O. Murphy, proposes to begin active operations next spring upon its proposed works for storing the water of the Agua-Frio river and irrigating the land on both sides of that stream, thus adding, it is calculated, about 150,000 acres to the arable lands of Central Arizona. The surveys, estimates and plans have been prepared by Mr. Hancock, assisted by H. R. Leonard. The lower reservoir site will be at F’rog Tanks, and with a dam 100 feet high will store 8,000,000,000 cubic feet of water.
