A Proposed New Water Supply System for Cincinnati. The annexed diagram shows the plan approved by the committee on water works of the East End Improvement Association of Cincinnati, O., for a system of storage basins to be located in Turkey Bottom, between Little Miami river and Columbia, in connection with a proposed new and improved water supply plant for that city. A summary of the report of the committee upon the subject is given as follows; We would advise that a large reservoir of 200 acres or more and about thirty feet in depth, with earth embankment, of customary form. The Longworth estate offers desirable grounds at tax valuation. For each basin we would recommend the river pump to be placed up the river above the Miami at a point to be selected, with sufficient lines of pipe leading into a forty-acre subsiding reservoir, on the east side of…
