Fire Department Matters in New York’s Legislature. (From Our Own Correspondent.’) ALBANY, N. Y., March 2.—There are several measures relating to fire department matters now before the legislature. Assemblyman Guenther has introduced a bill to establish a firemen’s relief and pension fund in the city of Buffalo, and to create a board of trustees for the control, management and disposition thereof. This fund is to be made up as follows: 1. All securities, property and moneys, which, upon the passage of this act, are in the possession and under the control of the fire commissioners of said city, belonging to the firemen’s relief fund. 2. All fines, penalties and forfeitures, that from time to time may be imposed upon any officer or member of the fire department of said city by way of discipline, collectable from pay or salary. 3.
