Fire Department Reports. FIRE DEPARTMENT OF HAVERHILL, MASS.—Year ending February 2, 1891. John B. Gordon, chief engineer—The fires and alarms numbered 77, doing $60,043 damage. The department consists of 185 officers and men, distributed as follows: 115 in the city proper; 40 at Rocks Village and 30 at Ayers Village. Of apparatus there are two third class Amoskeag, one first class Amoskeag and one first class La France steamers, one double tank chemical, one combination chemical and protective wagon, two hose wagons and two hook and ladder trucks; also two hand engines, one in each of the abovenamed villages. There are 15,000 feet of hose, of which 8000 feet are in good and 5000 feet in fair condition.
