SEWERAGE, The city council of Florence, Ala., has passed a motion to issue the $50,000 of treasury bonds, $35,000 of which are to be used for sewerage purposes. Northern capitalists have stated their desire to submit a proposition for the construction of the proposed sewerage system at Macon, Ga. Henry Horne can give further information regarding this proposition. The city council of Dallas, Tex., has passed an ordinance providing for the issuing of $150,000 of sewerage bonds. A considerable quantity of sewerage work is being done at Lowell, Mass. Says The Meriden (Conn.) Journal: “Aldermen Kane and Curtis and Councilmen Maschmeyer and Kennard arrived home from their Massachusetts and Rhode Island trip for the purpose of investigating systems of sewerage in Worcester, South Framingham and Cransston, R.
