SEWERAGE. At Holyoke, Mass., contracts for sewer construction were awarded to Baker, Cavanagh & Merrill, for brick, at $16.50 per 1000; Jolly Brothers, cast-iron pipe, $3500; Delaney Brothers, stone work, $4.65 per cubic perch, and F. A. Rivers, pile work. Bids for the construction of Seminary street sewer were opened at Rockford, Ill., as follows: T. J. Mellen, $9,603.11, and T. H. Walker, $9,548.08. There are 7000 feet to be laid in the Seminary street sewer. Bids for the construction of the east trunk of the proposed sewer system at Pittsfield, Mass., were received as follows: D. W. Devanny, Pittsfield, $48,400 ; G. M. Atkins & Co., Palmer, Mass., $39,700; M. Sullivan, Little Falls, N. Y., $31,700; John Marsden, Millerton, N. Y., $30,500; Troy Public Works Company, Troy, N.
