WATER SUPPLY ITEMS. It is reported that the water company at Perth Amboy, N. J., has offered to accept $66,000 for its plant, etc. In accordance with a resolution adopted by the board of supervisors of San Francisco, Engineers G. H. Mendell and Marsden Manson have filed a report upon the Spring Valley “ waste pond ” on Seventh avenue in that city. The engineers express the opinion that a reservoir can be built and maintained by the Spring Valley Water Company at the waste pond with safety to all persons and property in that neighborhoods The area of the ground which now drains into the pond is large. The water company proposes to convert the pond into a service reservoir, and the engineers see no danger in the proposition. The city of New Brunswick, N.
