Water-works in Honduras. The Bureau of American Republics at Washington, D. is in receipt of an interesting letter from Tegucigalpa, Honduras, as follows: “Last week we had here a three days’ celebration in honor of the completion of the new works to supply this ciry with water. This enterprise has boon carried out by American contractors, Messrs, Gibson & Cole, who have deservedly won great praise for the skill and energy they have displayed in overcoming the many difficulties they have had to encounter. “ As this work is an apt illustration of the spirit of progress and improvement that is now becoming widely diffused throughout the Latin-American republics, and as such enterprises are opening a field not only for the well-known ability of our people in conducting public works, but will also form an important outlet for American manufacturers, all materials used being imported from the United States, l…
