WATER SUPPLY ITEMS. The new reservoir and water-works which have been in course of construction for the city of Covington, Ky., for about five years past, were formally turned over to the city on September 4. The total cost of the plant has been $1,116,020. It is located in Campbell county, on the Ohio river, about five miles from Covington, and is considered the finest and most complete works in either Kentucky or Ohio. The expectation is that it will induce many manufacturers to locate in Covington by the power it places at their disposal at all times. Several have already moved there from Cincinnati on this account.
