THE FIRE DEPARTMENTS. The sixteenth anniversary of the organization of the insurance fire patrol of Worcester, Mass,, was celebrated on Tuesday evening, December I, most enjoyably at the headquarters of the patrol on Barton place. Atout sixty persons, including among them representatives of the city government, fire department and the insurance interests, inspected the quarters, and later partook of supper. Interesting speeches were made by Mayor Harrington and a number of others, and some very pleasant things were said atout the insurance patrol—so complimentary, in fact, that Captain Williamson must have been highly gratified, and ought to have blushed, if he didn’t. In truth, the patrol has done most valuable work, and deserves every bit of the praise given it.
