The Annual Fire Loss in Boston. The following table, compiled from reports made by the Boston Protective Department, shows the number of alarms of fire and the amount of property and insurance losses in Boston during 1891, as distributed by months, together with aggregates for eleven years : *This is the estimated loss on the fire December 27, in Porker, Holmes & Co.’s shoe store, Federal street, preading to the store of Hosmer, Codding A Co. The loss on stock is not settled, but it probably will be about 60 per cent of the insurance.
