Various Systems of Sewers. The following is from the correspondence of Lewis H. Gibson. now in Paris, to The Indianapolis News: Every growing town or city must have a system of sewers. A healthful and clean city is only possible when there are proper arrangements for carrying away the sewerage. I see that our city is considering the subject ot a comprehensive sewer plan. There are many towns and cities in our State which will so come to the necessity of doing the same thing. The great danger which is encountered is that they will go into the practical work of sewer building without having fully posted themselves on what has been done before. Indianapolis has worked practically in the dark for a good many years. Under the present organization, however, we are justified in expecting definite plans and comprehensive work.
