SEWERAGE. The contractor having in charge the extension of the Wingohocking sewer northwardly from Chelton avenue, Germantown, Pa., is making rapid progress with the work. The sewer has been completed within a few feet of the breast of the old dam, and the demolition of that has begun. A flume has been run into that body of water, and a portion of the breastwork has been torn down. By the middle of the month the sewer will be completed as far as the money appropriated for it will go, and a valuable tract of land will be reclaimed for building and other purposes. Braddock, Pa., has voted in favor of $100,000 bonded indebtedness for permanent street and sewer improvements. Salisbury, Md., is to have a sewerage system.
