WATER SUPPLY ITEMS. South Hadley, Mass., is happy in the possession of an excellent water supply, and with the exception of clearing off some of the underbrush on the hanks the Leaping Well reser. voir is finished. A beautiful sheet of water now covers 9 2 acres where a year ago a little silvery stream meandered down a ravine. The reservoir fronts the Granby road, and many visit the spot on pleasant days. About a year ago the water supply drawn from Buttery brook got very low, and the citizens after several warm meetings decided to take the water from Leaping Well brook. The idea was ridiculed, and one good citizen declared he could drink the brook dry. The water commissioners measured the water in the brook, and were satisfied that there was water enough to supply the village for years to come. The sum of $30,000 was appropriated and…
