The Wilson Fire Escape. During the past year the Wilson Manufacturing Company has made this fire escape a pronounced success. It has been placed in many prominent public buildings and other places where a necessity always exists for saving life. Among the latest places to be equipped were the Hahnemann hospital, the Alphthalmic Institute of this city, the Convent of Mercy, Wilkesbarre, Fa., and the Windsor and Buckingham hotels, New York. The Wilson escape has overcome all the prejudices which unreliable appliances had created, and it is now recognized as a perfectly safe and simple machine, fulfilling all the points of merit claimed for it. It is claimed that the Wilson Portable Fire Escape is, of all appliances in this line, the one requiring the least presence of mind in face of danger.
