MISCELLANEOUS. Henry K. Barnes has just delivered to the town of Lancaster, N. H., a large hook and ladder truck. He is now building a hose wagon for the Volunteer Hose Company of Montpelier, Vt. Bessemer (Ala.) and Kirksville (Mo.) fire departments have been abundantly furnished with miscellaneous fire supplies by The R. I. Coupling Co., Providence, R. I. John H. Clay, Philadelphia, has furnished the gas department of that city with a large amount of fire department supplies. The Point Breese works are situated directly along side of the Atlantic Refining Company’s works and the ground is completely saturated with oil, making it dangerous in case of fire, two serious conflagrations having occurred within a short time ; one of them destroying some shipping and keeping the fire department in service for two or three days.
