Reservoirs for the Pecos Valley, The Pecos Valley Irrigation Company has secured the franchise and sites for a system of reservoirs on the Hondo river, about nine miles west of Roswell, New Mexico. Work has been commenced, and when completed it is estimated that sufficient water will be impounded to irrigate about 25,000 acres of land. This storage capacity will be used partly in connection with the north canal now heading about twelve miles below the reservoirs on the Hondo river. It is said to be one of the finest locations for reservoirs in the territory, and by the construction of a main canal now contemplated for about twelve miles, a large body of valuable land containing as much as 160,000 acres can be brought under the ditch.
