THE FIRE DEPARTMENTS. The Volunteer Firemen of this city are proud of Thomas F. Gilroy as Mayor of this city. The people trusted him in various positions and have not found him wanting. Mr. Gilroy was a member of Engine Company No. 37 in Harlem. The association will hold a meeting to make arrangements to attend the inauguration of Grover Cleveland on March 4, 1893. This association attended the inauguration of President Cleveland in 1884. It has already engaged hotel accommodations in Washington for the occasion. The list of old volunteer firemen in the State includes Senator David 11. Hill. Hon. Edward II. Murphy, Jr., Governor Roswell P. Flower, Mayorelect Gilroy, Sheriff John J. Gorman, Commissioner Hcrnard K. Martin, Thomas Dunlap, Sr., and the leader of Tammany Hall, Richard Croker.
