From Pulaski, Tenn. Editor FIRE AND WATER: Enclosed find check for subscription to FIRE AND WATER. I am pleased to state the water-works of this place have been completed, and we have as fine a plant as there is in this or any other county in the State. The reservoir is on top of a hill 260 feet higher than our public square, and furnishes 130 pounds pressure. We have two hose reel companies and one hook and ladder company. The hook and ladder company handles also the chemical engine on wheels. One thousand feet of hose was bought from E. B. Preston & Co. of Chicago, and it is first-class, being their wax treated hose. The fire department is out practicing three times a week, and will soon be in shape to ask for a reduction of insurance. I am pleased to state that our city council is considering…
