Plans for Chicago’s Fire Fund. The sub-committee appointed to distribute the funds collected for the families of the firemen killed at the cold storage building fire at Chicago reported five different plans to the general committee the other day, and one of the five will be adopted at a meeting to be held next Tuesday. The recommendation of the sub-committee is as follows: Taking all matters into consideration we have concluded to recommend that, in the case of widows and children, we should proceed on the general plan of allowing to the widow $4000, payable $2000 in cash and $2000 either in investments held in trust or by depositing $2000 with a trust company, under a proper agreement covering points above mentioned; and that for each child there should be set aside $2000 to be invested or held in trust until majority.
