WELL DRILLING NOTES. A Dallas, Tex., it is proposed to build twenty wells, at a cost of $30,000, which will flow 4,000,000 gallons of water. City Clerk, Wm. McGrain. It is said that the new city wells at Lowell, Mass., from which 3,000,000 gallons of water a day is being pumped, are draining the wells in the neighborhood. At any rate the foundry well in Ayer City has been dry since the driven wells began to give their supply. A well forty-five feet deep, on Fruit street, in use for fifteen years has given out, and a well at the old glue factory, a third of a mile from the driven wells, is exhausted.
