SEWERAGE. A sewer system to be built at New Britain, Conn. Chairman of committee, Phillip Corbin. The proposed Presido sewer, to drain the San Francisco (Cal.) heights above the government reservation, will be 2400 feet long, with a fall of sixty feet; 1500 will be in a tunnel. Twenty thousand dollars is the estimated cost. At a special town meeting, held at Camden, Me., it was voted to instruct the selectmen to raise by loan the sum of $3000 to complete the sewers. This is to anticipate the amount to be paid in by the abutters when the sewers are completed, but which is needed at the present time for the prosecution of the work. It was also voted to assess the abutters on both sides of Bay View street.
