Pacific Coast and Canadian News. (From Our Regular Correspondent.) A conflagration at Bonner’s Ferry, Idaho, on the 18th October, destroyed the Palace Hotel, Morris’ store and other buildings; loss, $15,000. Frederickton, N. B., was visited by a second fire on October 17, and property valued at $20,000 was destroyed. At Montesano, Wash., on the 15th October, the electric light plant, shingle mill, planing mill and dry kilns were consumed by fire; loss, $35,000. Spokane, Wash., was the scene of a fatal fire and explosion on the 19th October. Shortly before nine o’clock a terrific explosion shook the business section of the city. A minute later flames burst out in a frame store on Howard street, between Sprague and First. There had been a gas explosion in the dye works of C. L.
