WATER SUPPLY Donaldsonville, La., contemplates the enlargement of its present water works system, but has not as yet made any definite arrangements. In the estimate of expenditures of the superintendent of the Butte City, Mont., Water Company, for the year 1894, he has recommended the expenditure of about $100,006 for the coming season. The cost of completing the work to be about $200,000; $150,000 of this is necessary for the completion of the dam and will require two seasons to complete it. The work to be started at the reservoir as soon as the weather will permit so as to provide a larger storage capacity than we now have and secure the spring water. ‘I he present pumping station on Upper Main street is only a temporary affair, and the purchase of another pump and the building of a new permanent station for the upper system is recommended.
