Troy’s Proposed Extension. FEW days ago a number of experts and citizens of Troy, N. Y., went on a tour of inspection in connection with the proposed dam and reservoir sites of the new gravity system. The diverting dam is reached by a drive eastward along the Brunswick turnpike, through the village of Millville, Clum’s Corners, where the road turns sharply to the right, thence across the “drowned lands” through Cropscyville, at the mouth of the canon of the Quackenkill, up this canon through Rock Hollow, to a point nine and one-half miles from the city line, and one-half mile below the village of Quackenkill. It is 850 feet above low water. This diverting dam will be built across the canon for the purpose of turning the water of the stream into a line of iron pipe.
