Atlanta’s Excellent System. AT is only fair to say that Atlanta, Ga., is happy over the completion of its new water plant, and that since September of last year the city has been supplied with water from the Chattahoochee river. The general character of the work throughout is all that could be desired, and though there is not a single effort at ornamentation or any useless expenditure, there is everything essential or requisite in a first-class water works. It is to be noted that the works were built within the estimate, though there has been a second engine bought and erected at the reservoir station, and a house erected over the filters, hat were not considered in the original estimate of cost m: da by the City Engineer, and too much praise cannot begiven him, aid William (1.
