Six Firemen Trapped. Six firemen were buried under failing walls in tne destruction of E. G. Richards’ big planing mill on Franklin street, Detroit, Aug. 2. One of them was taken out dead, one was fatally in jured, and four were seriously hurt. The financial loss on this fire will reach but $60,000, but fires in the vicinity caused by the Richards fire will bring the loss up to above $135,000. The list of dead and injured is as follows : F.ugene McCarthy, pipeman Engine Company No. 19, taken out dead. His body frightfully mangled. Henry Trapp, Engine Company No. 6, fatally injured about the head and back and severely burned. Lieutenant Louis K. Tate, back injured and left hip dislocated. Tom Sehieble, Engine Company No. 19, burned on back and shoulders, also about the head; also scalp wounds. George W. Lyons, Engine Company No. 6, left leg btoken and…
