Pacific Coast News. FROM OUR REGULAR CORRESPONDENT. Chief Hunt of Seattle, Wash., reported that the department responded to thirteen alarms during the month of October. The most destructive fire occurred on October, I, when the Famous Clothing House, corner of Front and Cherry streets, was gutted. The loss was large and the insurance $53,000. The next largest fire was at the West Street hotel,where sixteen lives were lost and property worth about $12,000 destroyed, which was fully covered by insurance. The expenses of the fire department for October for all purposes were $5,087.07 against $5,614.48 for September. The estimated expenses for December were $5,204.60. T he fire on Pine street, San Francisco, which destroyed $300,000 worth of property, originated on the morning of Nov. 4th, in the wholesale grocery establishment of Goldberg, Bowen & I.ebenbaum, The furniture, library, fine paintings, works of art and valuable souvenirs of the Press Club…
