WATER SUPPLY The Street and Water Commissioners of Jersey City have adopted specifications for a new supply of water. There are four distinct specifications under which bids maybe submitted. Bids are to be received on the morning of March 35. Bidders must offer to furnish 20,000,000 gallons daily with a call on 60,000,000 when necessary. The bidders must give prices iu a sliding scale from 20,000,000 to 50,000,000 a day. The contract is to run twenty-five years. Bidders are compelled to fix; a price upon their proposed plant, which may be bought by the city within twenty years after completion of the plant, to be paid for in casl* or bonds bearing four and a half per cent, interest.
