FIRE NEWS The Veteran Firemen’s Association of Philadelphia, Pa., has purchased a building at 806 North Tenth street, and will alter it for the accommodation of the old hand engine. The association was organized in 1887, and now has 150 members. It is composed of honorary members of the old Volunteer Department. There is trouble in the Bath, N. Y., Fire Department over the action of the village trustees in ordering as new election of officers of the department. The recent elect ion resulted in the selectionjof James Power as chief. Now because the legality of the election has been questioned it is said the board of trustees will order a new election. Truck 52, of the New York Fire Department, was overturned last Monday, seriously injuring two firemen. The truck, which is stationed in Riverdale, was taken out to exercise the horses.
