The Firemen’s Home. George W. Howard, who has been appointed by the Voluuteer Firemen’s Association of the State of New York, to secure subscriptions for the building and endowment fund for the Firemen’s Home at Hudson, N. Y., is pushing the work with great energy, and is attaining very gratifying results. The association has at present 65,000 members, and the work which Mr. Howard is worthy secuting is worthy of generous support. The money being raised is to liquidate a mortgage of about $15,000 held by the trustees on the building. FIKK ANId NVATKK has frequently advocated the establishment and maintenance of the home and it trusts the efforts of Mr. Howard will be eminently successful.
