VALLEJO, CAL. The semi-annual report of the water commissioners shows that total receipts from the time the first connection was made Feb. 3d, to Sept. 1st, 1894, amounted to $6,404-and total expenditures to date of $6,308. The water system was provided for at an election held Nov, 1892 when $250,000 bonds were voted for the works. The main storage reservoir is located about fifteen miles from the city, and has a capacity of 400,000,000 gallons. The distributing reservoir has a capacity of 4,000,000 gallons and has an elevation of eighty feet above the city. A pressure of forty pounds is obtainable at the highest point and ninety pounds throughout the city from the distributing reservoir and 225 pounds from the diverting reservoir at Grass Valley. The ent ire system has cost aboat $276,000.
