CARLISLE, PA., FIRE DEPARTMENT. Carlisle, Pa., has elected a chief fire marshal and assistants and fire patrol. Members of council representing the companies made a few remarks upon the candidates. Two ballots were taken, the second resulting in the election of Samuel Bentz, of the Goodwill, Edward Brindle of the Union, was made first assistant; Cyrus Spabr, of the Cumberland, second assistant, and James Quinn, Empire, third assistant.
