WATER SUPPLY The Tiffin Water OompaDy has been making extensive improvements and additions to its plant at Tiffin, Ohio, including the building of an addition to tbe pumping station and the placing of new boilers. Last week the company closed a contract with The Holly Manufacturing Company, of Lockport, New York, for one of its HlollyGaskill horizontal high duty pumping engines of 4,000,000 gallons daily capacity, which is to be in operation in the spring. The present machinery consists of a llolly-GaskiU engine of 8,000,000 gallons daily capacity and a Holly quadruplex water power of 1,500,000 gallons, and when the engine is in place the company will have a total pumping capacity of 8,500,000 gallons. George W. Terry, who has been secretary to the board of water commissioners for years, is now superintendent of the water works system of Atlanta.
