TOLEDO, O., WATER REPORT The twenty second annual report of the water works of Toledo, Ohio, has just been published, from which it appears that from March, 1894 to March, 1895, there have been 836 taps made, and 906 new services written up, bringing the number of services up to date 6,682. During the year 402 meters have been set, being an increase over the number set in 1898 of 111, nearly all on dwellinghouse services. The receipts from water rents show an increase of about $7,(MX) over 1898, and are all from assessment services. The cut in the elevator rates from the sliding scale formerly in use to a uniform rate of 6 cents per 1,000 gallons, which went, into effect November 1, 1898, offset the revenue derived from the new meters set during the year, which otherwise would have increased the gross receipts from measured water.
